I'm a single white male living in the greater Los Angeles area of Southern California. I'm 6'10" tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, wear glasses -- I think I look like a typical modern computer nerd (and thankfully not like those from the not-so-modern movie Revenge of the Nerds.)
In my spare time, I enjoy Japanese anime, immersing myself in computer technology, watching movies, hanging around the bar scene, playing Texas Hold'em Poker, cooking, and my Nintendo Wii.
Professionally, I've worked with Information Technology for over ten years starting in 2000. I started my career as a Mac specialist, and have since evolved to being a specialist in Microsoft Windows software and Hewlett-Packard hardware technology. I've had clients of all sizes and wealth -- the college student; the elderly retiree; corporate CEOs, presidents, and vice presidents; self-employed individuals; small-to-medium sized businesses; and fortune 500 companies. For these clients, I've offered advice and services in the areas of pre-sales consulting, purchase assistance, installation, networking, troubleshooting, and break-fix repair.
I'm originally from Norwalk, Connecticut, where I ran my own computer consultancy under the business name of DMS Consulting LLC. I greatly enjoyed being in business for myself, and was fortunate enough to have built a very appreciative client base. Unfortunately, the costs of living and doing business in Connecticut became too great, and I decided to shift gears to find a more steady income.
I moved to California and went to work for PC Mall in Torrance, California. PC Mall is one of the largest national computer solution resellers in the United States, and has been a great place to learn a lot of new skills and get acquainted with some of the coolest tech toys.
At PC Mall, I've been nicknamed Yoda for my ability to give advice on nearly anything product or process related -- from configuring servers to negotiating pricing programs with vendors, I can do it all!
